D.C. Athletics debuts in National Elite Tournament – Dallas Super Copa :   Our club was represented this weekend as the #2 seed in the U11 Brackets of one of the most prestigious and competitive (invitation only) tournaments in the US.  The weather brought many obstacles factoring travel, logistics, training and game time scheduling.

Our results – 1W – 1D – 2 L.  Conceding 1 point only the # 1 team ranked in Texas in our group play (0-1 Loss to FC Dallas Premier), and 1 point only to the #1 team ranked in the nation (0-1 Loss to Sereno Chelsea White of Arizona) in the quarter-final (as ranked in gotsoccer.com). Fierce competition, great experience, and a fantastic first showing!  DCA left a mark.. invited back next year for sure, given high praise by a local Southwest US Liverpool developmental scout, “The best quality play I have seen in this whole tournament, I wish more teams showed such skill and individual creativity.”
